Mrs. Cynthia Stevens
Hello! My name is Cynthia Stevens. Teaching is an absolute passion of mine. It’s one of the things that I love most in my life. With that being said, I am so excited to work with you and your child. It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Brad. We have a 1-year-old little girl and we love her to pieces. We also have a fluffy feline who is 16-years-old and he spends most of his time sleeping and cuddling. We spend a lot of our time with our family and friends. We love hanging out with our nieces and nephews. Some of the things that I enjoy are traveling, boating, going to the beach, kayaking, bike riding, zip lining, photography, shopping, running, and Pinteresting! I am originally from a small town in Southwest Michigan. I have lived in Atlanta for a little over 12 years. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and my master’s degree from Walden University. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I always played school with my little sister, Jenny! Of course, she was the student and I was the teacher and I loved ever minute of it! Besides playing school, we played outside, built forts, played with our Barbies, rode dirt bikes (with our baby dolls attached), and played board games. You could say that were the “girliest tomboys” around town! This is my thirteenth year teaching and my sixth year in 3rd grade. Before that, I taught 2nd grade for seven years. Teaching is definitely what I was born to do! It is my mission to instill a love for learning and to help all students to have confidence and to BELIEVE in themselves. I teach with passion and from my heart. My hope is that my students develop a desire to become life-long learners. I look forward to a great year together. |
